By using Wallhalla ("the site") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Wallhalla is a small collection of wallpapers, free to download. No account or registration is needed. The site is free to use.

Nearly all wallpapers here — about 99% — are made with artificial intelligence (AI). The rest are made by hand or shared under a permissive license. Every wallpaper page tells you which kind it is, and that page is what counts.

3.1 Why AI matters

Copyright needs a human author, so a purely AI-made picture usually cannot be copyrighted at all. There is no human owner whose permission you would need under copyright law. The permission to use it comes from this page instead, and the rules below apply as an agreement between you and the site — even where copyright itself does not.

Hybrid means an AI picture that a person then edited, retouched or finished by hand. In theory that human touch could have rights of its own, but we claim none: hybrids are treated exactly like fully AI-made pictures here — Free, no strings attached. When the About page says "marked AI", it means both Yes and Hybrid.

3.2 What each wallpaper page tells you

Every wallpaper shows two lines. AI generated is one of three values: Yes (made by AI), No (made by hand) or Hybrid (AI base, finished by a person). License is also one of three cases: a named license, Free, or Free for personal use. If in doubt, trust the page, not your memory of these terms.

3.3 Named licenses

When the License line names something specific (such as CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA and so on), follow that license. That usually means giving credit to the author, and sometimes means non-commercial use only or sharing adaptations under the same terms. The license itself explains the details.

3.4 Free — AI and hybrid wallpapers

Free means an AI or hybrid wallpaper with no extra license. You may use it for anything, personal or commercial — as a background, in designs, videos, streams, even in client work or things you sell — without asking first and without giving credit. A mention is appreciated but never required.

3.5 Free for personal use

Free for personal use means a hand-made wallpaper with no named license. Use it as your desktop, phone, tablet or lock-screen background, and in personal projects, schoolwork, presentations and non-monetised videos.

Do not use these wallpapers commercially — not in ads, products, client work, or on channels that make money. If you need something for commercial use, pick a wallpaper marked Free instead.

3.6 The one rule for everything

Whether a wallpaper is Free or personal-use, do not resell or re-share the files themselves: do not sell the downloads, re-upload them to other wallpaper sites, bulk-copy the collection to run your own version of it, or claim someone else's work as your own. Using a Free picture inside your own video, design or stream is fine — passing off the file itself as your product is not.

The Wallhalla name, logo, site design, and the collection as a whole — the picking, ordering and naming — are our work. The individual AI pictures are not "owned" through copyright, but the site and the curated collection are. Do not present downloads as your own original work.

You agree not to:

• Bulk-download, scrape or crawl the site to copy the collection
• Re-upload, mirror, resell or re-share the files or the collection on other sites
• Try to break, overload or get around the site's security
• Use the site or the wallpapers for anything unlawful or misleading

Normal browsing and search engines are fine — this is about copying the collection.

The site and all wallpapers are provided "as is". We try to keep the site up and the files correct, but we cannot promise it will always work, be error-free, or suit your particular screen or purpose.

To the extent the law allows, Wallhalla is not liable for damages arising from your use of the site or any wallpaper you download. In plain terms: you use the downloads at your own risk.

These terms follow EU law and the national law of the country where the site operator is based. Disputes go to the courts there.

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
